Research: Global investigation of atmospheric processes associated with extreme rainfall

Research All Pubs CAREER CSU-MLP CO Climate Gravity Waves MCSs MCVs PECAN PREs RELAMPAGO Snowbands Vortex-SE

In collaboration with Prof. Brian Mapes at the University of Miami, this project will extend our previous research on the predictability of widespread heavy precipitation in the United States by conducting similar analyses for extreme rain events across the globe. In addition to the scientific analysis in this project, we will be developing "bundles" of data for these events for use in the Integrated Data Viewer by the wider scientific community and the public.
